County of Orange CFD

In accordance with the Mello-Roos Community Facilities Act of 1982, these districts were formed following public hearings and landowner elections. All of the districts were approved by more than a 2/3 majority.  Please note, the City of Rancho Santa Margarita does not levy, administer, collect or use the Community Facilities District (CFD) special taxes, and did not form any of the CFDs affecting the RSM community.

All taxes are incurred annually. They are levied/collected at the same time as property taxes.
  1. County of Orange CFD 86-1

    The County of Orange Community Facilities District (CFD) 86-1 was used for public schools, the Foothill Transportation Corridor, streets and roads.

  2. County of Orange CFD 86-2

    The County of Orange Community Facilities District (CFD) 86-2 was used for roadway improvements, a Sheriff substation, and a fire station.

  3. County of Orange CFD 87-5A

    The County of Orange Community Facilities District (CFD) 87-5A was used for the Foothill Circulation Phasing Plan (FCPP).

  4. County of Orange CFD 87-5B

    The County of Orange Community Facilities District (CFD) 87-5B was used for the Foothill Circulation Phasing Plan (FCPP).

  5. County of Orange CFD 87-5C

    The County of Orange Community Facilities District (CFD) 87-5C was used for the Foothill Circulation Phasing Plan (FCPP).

  6. County of Orange CFD 87-5D

    The County of Orange Community Facilities District (CFD) 87-5D was used for the Foothill Circulation Phasing Plan (FCPP).

  7. County of Orange CFD 87-5E

    The County of Orange Community Facilities District (CFD) 87-5E was used for the Foothill Circulation Phasing Plan, Antonio Parkway, and a library.
