The Community Services Department represents the City on matters regarding parks, recreation and community services. The objective of the Department is to ensure quality customer service to the people of RSM regarding recreation and community services. Programs are recreation activities and services that produce specific outcomes and benefits to residents.
The Community Services Department will also work to create programs which will not compete with the activities of the Bell Tower Regional Community Center, but instead work in unison. The Department partners with service providers in the community to ensure a comprehensive recreation and community services delivery system. We are committed to facilitating activities that grow strong families, promote healthy lifestyles, and support the strong sense of community shared by the residents of Rancho Santa Margarita.
Community Events Calendar
The Community Services Department is the essential connection to the residents and their physiological needs in the community. The Department is responsible for collecting information on resources, events or services available for residents and the surrounding areas. The Community Services Department will strive to assemble all resources for the benefit of the residents of Rancho Santa Margarita. The Department oversees a master calendar of community events on the City’s website. The calendar may be used by your organization and it is also a helpful tool for residents to view what is happening around the community.
Events posted on the calendar are those that are not-for-profit and open to the public. This calendar is an excellent opportunity for you to gain exposure and plan events that could possibly influence your attendance numbers. For an event to be considered for posting on the Community Events Calendar, an Event Information Form must be completed with signature for each event. You may also complete the Event Information Form on-line. The calendar is easily accessed on the City's website homepage, under the Quick Link "Community Events".
