The purpose of Economic Development is to improve the economic viability of Rancho Santa Margarita by addressing:
1) The provision of balanced employment and housing opportunities;
2) The attraction and retention of businesses; and
3) The promotion of fiscal strength and stability in the community.
Economic Development in the City is guided by the goals, policies and objectives established within the Economic Development Element of the General Plan. The City has established an Economic Development Committee to implement these Economic Development goals and policies.
