The U.S. Constitution mandates a census of the population every 10 years. Responding to the 2020 Census takes only a few minutes and is crucial to determine Rancho Santa Margarita’s future representations and funding until 2030. It’s essential that everyone is counted!

You can also see how RSM compares with our neighboring cities and encourage family and friends to participate by checking out the bureau’s online response rates map. The map is updated regularly to reflect the self-response rate of each state, county, city, census tract, congressional district, and tribal area.
