The City has teamed up with Operation Help a Hero (OHH), a local Rancho Santa Margarita non-profit organization, to provide holiday cheer to many marine families including those from the City’s adopted Second Battalion, Fifth Marines (2/5) through its Operation Christmas Spirit program. The City adopted the Second Battalion, Fifth Marines (2/5) on January 10, 2007. 2/5 is comprised of over 1,000 brave Marines and Sailors who recently returned home after a seven-month deployment.
