[ARCHIVED] Enforcement of Street Sweeping No Parking Zones to resume on June 15, 2020

Street Sweeping No Parking Zones to restart on JUNE 15, 2020 graphic

Enforcement of street sweeping parking restrictions was suspended during the statewide stay-at-home order. Due to the lifting of many restrictions, enforcement will restart on June 15, 2020.

Street sweeping parking enforcement will resume June 15, 2020, after a temporary suspension that began in March as part of the COVID-19 response. Beginning on Monday, June 8, courtesy reminder postcards will be placed on cars parked during street sweeping hours on all routes.

A build-up of trash and landscaping debris on the streets presents a potential hazard to health and public safety. The City’s weekly sweeping is one of the most effective ways to protect our water quality and keep our City clean. Weekly street sweeping is an essential service that removes debris from the streets and keeps pollutants from entering the ocean and waterways.

The City recognizes that street parking during sweeping is a challenge. The routes have been designed to minimize impacts. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated to assist the City in maintaining clean streets.
