$5,000 grants are available for independent restaurants from April 15 – May 7. Funding for grants made possible by SoCalGas, PG&E, and SDG&E.
Since 2021, the Restaurants Care Resilience Fund has awarded grants to 788 independent restaurants throughout California. That’s 788 burger joints, taquerias, bakeries, and more at the heart of our communities.
Many of these restaurants represent family legacies and life-long dreams. The average time in business is 9.7 years, with nearly 80 restaurants operating for over two decades.
The Spring 2023 granting cycle application process begins between April 15 – May. Grants are anticipated to help an additional 366 restaurants. Contributions are $5,000 and are powered by generous donations from SoCalGas, PG&E, and SDG&E.
Restaurants Care was created in 2017 as a safety net for food and beverage workers, and that hasn’t stopped! Year-round we help the servers, cooks, and dishwashers at the heart of restaurants. To learn more about our fund for food and beverage workers, click here.
