Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has informed us of upcoming changes to bus services in the City of Rancho Santa Margarita. Route revisions are due to OCTA’s bus restructuring plan, which includes discontinuing certain stops. This bus restructuring plan more closely aligns with the OC Bus transit system, considering post-pandemic travel patterns. With this, it was determined by OCTA that Routes 82 and 87 will be removed from service, with Route 89 servicing affected areas. This change resulted in the removal of seven bus stops within the City, with 19 remaining, as shown on the map below. These changes will be implemented effective February 9, 2025.
